Here is the latest installment of Fame & Shame—a small peek into my life! For this entry, I’m not going to shame anything. I’ve been so completely happy, there’s nothing I can complain about! For nearly three weeks, I’ve been living in mere perfection! So, this blog is just fame… all about the good stuff!
- Mental Independence: I can now daydream and envision possibilities at leisure. No longer do I have to sit through meetings and appear to be listening when all I can think about is booking my next wedding. I don’t have to be a resentful prisoner of the 8 to 5. I don’t have to worry about the success of someone else’s company. Every decision I make from now on will only affect me and MY business. My mind can freely float where ever it wants! It can dream big dreams with no boundaries.
- Personal Independence: I have the flexibility to work on my physical self first thing in the morning, but not before the roosters crow. Now, I can take a break to clear my mind and wash a load of laundry. I can make breakfast for my daughter before she goes to school! I can run errands even if it’s not on my lunch hour. Speaking of lunch, I can make my own lunch every single day and eat at my desk without feeling trapped or hurried.
- Working Independence: I can’t describe just how exhilarating the last 19 days have been! I have had the freedom to work on my business without being rushed, staying up late or getting up early (as in to do workbefore work). I have had the luxury to spend long lunch dates with other professional photographers to network and talk shop. I can video Skype with other photographers and potential clients—any time of the day, not just after 5:30 p.m.! I now have more time to work on all of my goals. I don’t have to prioritize or sacrifice any because of lack of time. I have my dreams and aspirations solely and firmly in my own hand. I’m no longer holding onto them by a few threads and hoping that they don’t slip through my grip! It’s all up to me now and basically, I have zero excuses. This will happen!
Welcome to my office… my place of happiness and creativity!
Until next time, be positive, happy, and healthy, and don’t forget to be photographed.

I am a professional photographer who enjoys documenting the important milestones and captivating moments in people’s lives. I firmly believe that the unique set of circumstances I have faced in life has prepared me to take a personal and genuine interest in my photography clients. When I’m not photographing a wedding, family or high school senior, I enjoy watching my daughter play softball, hiking, cycling, reading, and listening to Elvis!
