Many people think it’s rude to disclose someone’s age, but in two short days, my little sister will be turning… well, I don’t want anyone to think I’m rude, but she will definitely be celebrating a milestone in her life.  It’s a milestone that involves the numbers four and zero, but not necessarily in that order (wink wink).

I was there when she celebrated her very first birthday (please see proof above).  And, I’m very glad that I’ll be a part of the next birthday she’ll be celebrating.

All I want to do is capture important, historical and memorable events in my life.  I want to firmly cement these events in my mind… forever.  Life is important and flies by waaayyyy too fast.  I don’t want to forget anything and I try to record everything.  I think this desire stems from losing my baby sister when she was seven (I was 15), and from losing my mom when she was 39 (I was 21).  On September 9, 1984 and September 11, 1990 respectively, I stopped being able to create any documentation of my life with these people.  All I had is what I had… which wasn’t much!  So, I save everything… I take pictures of everything… I cherish everything!  I don’t want to forget!  And, I don’t want my little sister to forget!
