Want to know about the photographic possibilities?

You have to… you must carve out ample time (at least 20 minutes) at the end of your evening to get some golden hour portraits. There is a grassy field, flanked by live oaks on the west side of the Firefly Farm that you will want images to hang on your wall. I promise.

The driveway in back of the venue is also gorgeous. There are live oaks pretty much everywhere, and they always accentuate a great image in the beautiful Texas hill country. You can also get a great hero shot with the barn in the background.

Also, the processional is a long one… so there’s ample time to grab GREAT images of your walking down the aisle toward the love of your life. It’s pretty impossible to pick a bad spot.

Introduction of The Firefly Farm

Firefly Farm is such a beautiful and romantic Texas hill country venue. The venue has a good mix of outdoor spaces that are all connected with meandering, paved pathways, beautiful landscaping, oak trees, and an abundance of hill country charm. The venue is an excellent opportunity for you and your guests to enjoy all that the beautiful hill country has to offer in a relaxed setting and with all of the needed amenities to make your event (and stay) one that will be memorable. Many people love the red barn with its rustic wood interior, rustic tin ceiling, and contrasting crystal chandeliers. The Firefly Farm chapel is nestled amongst trees, providing an intimate-feeling space for ceremonies. Stunning views, mature oak trees, and beautiful sunsets make the Firefly Farm a favorite wedding destination.

Brief History of The Firefly Farm

One of the first memories made at Firefly Farm was when Payton and Dylan Skogman were wed on October 1st, 2016. They have been hosting memorable weddings ever since.

Venue Options

  • The base price of $9,750 is for a one-day rental and includes the use of the facilities (barn, outdoor ceremony area, chapel, outdoor cocktail area, secondary/alternative covered, open-air, outdoor ceremony or cocktail area, green room, catering kitchen, bridal suite, man cave), staging furniture and antique chairs, wooden pews for the wedding ceremony, teakwood chairs for an indoor reception, six-foot rectangular tables, tabletop decor, 60-inch round tables, fourteen-foot rustic farmhouse tables, wine barrel cocktail tables, rustic farm wagons, some limited staffing services, and security to accommodate 50 guests. The barn is capable of accommodating seating for up to 500 people.
  • Two- and three-day rentals are also available with overnight lodging for up to 28 people.
  • The Firefly Farm’s barn and overhead apartment, bridal suite, and man cave are all climate-controlled.

Ceremony, Cocktail & Reception Details

Ceremony options are not limited at Firefly Farm, but couples usually prefer to recite their vows in front of the tiny chapel so that guests can be seated on the permanent wooden pews. Alternatively, a covered ceremony could also take place in the open-air pavilion which overlooks a tall, grassy field (and a gorgeous sunset).

Firefly Farm’s couples typically host their cocktail hour just between the chapel and the barn outside on the curvy, paved area that has been designated as a cocktail area. There’s a covered bar and wine barrels that serve as cocktail tables for your guests. There’s also a smaller bar under the covered, open-air pavilion should you need an alternative plan for inclement weather.

The barn will serve as your reception hall and can accommodate up to 500 guests when the barn’s massive sliding doors are open to allow for overflow outdoor seating.

The Club’s couples typically host their cocktail hour outside on the luscious green grounds or wrap-around porch.

The ballroom is home to your reception and can accommodate up to 250 guests.

Other Amenities

One of the best things about Firefly Farm, besides all the other great things about Firefly Farm, is the private cottages for your guests. If you choose the two- or three-day stay, the guests that get to stay in the cottages will have their own little tiny-house community complete with a fire ring.

Okay, all the other great things about Firefly Farm are: (1) The man cave—pretty sure this is the best one EVER in terms of wedding venues. It has outdoor showers y’all and all the things the groomsmen will love: a pool table, a bar, a huge TV, and a giant leather couch! (2) There’s room for 28 of your closest family and friends to stay for three days. That means no rushing to prepare OR pick up after your wedding. (3) You simply can’t get married at Firefly Farm without adding on Old Blue. Whether someone is getting delivered to the ceremony in Old Blue, or you’re getting whisked away at the end of the night, definitely ask about adding on Old Blue to your wedding package. (4) I have added the paved pathways as a great bonus feature. So many rustic, hill country venues don’t have safe, all-weather walking trails. You and your guests have a much less likely chance of falling or getting hurt at Firefly Farm.
