I have been following fellow San Antonio wedding photographer Lisa Blashke’s work, Lisa on Location, for a few years now. I was elated when she recently invited me to New Braunfels to The Chandelier of Gruene to second shoot Cole and Erin’s wedding.
Let me just start out with this. This venue is AMAZING!! The grounds were impeccable! Everything was perfect… the lawns, the trees, the quaint little chapel with its perfect pews and cathedral-arched windows, the bridal room. The AC was working perfectly on this super hot day… that’s always a plus! Myra was a very gracious host making sure that Cole and Erin’s every need was taken care of. But. The chandelier!! The chandelier in the main reception hall was super, super gorgeous. And it could not reflect any more perfectly or romantically off of the shiny floors than it did. I joked with Myra that if it was gone at the end of the night to please NOT come looking for me. And, they had even more beautiful, smaller chandeliers all over the place. If you like love chandeliers, this is THE PLACE to get married!!
Cole & Erin’s Gruene Wedding
As Lisa’s second shooter, I was tasked with capturing the wedding day from the groom’s perspective. Cole and his groomsmen were a fun group of guys and they get bonus points for being baseball players. Cole played baseball at Blinn College and that is actually where his love story with Erin began. Most of the groomsmen had, at one point, played on a baseball team with Cole. I had fun guessing which positions they played.
The Catholic ceremony took place in Sts. Peter and Paul church in New Branufels. This is a beautiful church. I love the way Cole is patiently waiting for his bride to arrive at the altar to join him in marriage.

Cole could not hide his happiness during the ceremony. I caught his smiling several times! Mostly, when he looked at Erin.

Cole and Erin were so excited after the nuptials!! They celebrated with a fist pump, holding hands!

The bridal party was a lot of fun! It was hard for them to contain their excitement for the couple!

Just look at the way these two look at each other. If that isn’t love, I don’t know what is.
