Jordan’s bridal portrait session was special for a lot of reasons: her grandmother used to drive my school bus; I rode that same bus with her mother; years later, I played a lot of late night volleyball games against her mom, dad, aunt and uncles; her aunt has been a part of my Wild Women’s Weekend Retreat for years and I photographed Jordan’s senior portraits just two short years ago.
But besides all of the decades-long historical connections I have to Jordan and her family, look how beautiful of a bride Jordan made the last Saturday in October! I could see happiness in her eyes… hear excitement in her voice and see the auspiciousness in the steps she took. She was so anxious to begin this life with her Shelby. Everything about her wedding day was perfect, but I’ll save that for another blog post.
Jordan’s ballgown sweetheart dress was gorgeous. I loved the sequin work on the her tulle skirt and the crystal belt was perfect! Jordan looked beautiful in this dress. This dress was made for Jordan! We took many traditional type portraits, but then Jordan surprised me at the end. I asked her if she’d be willing to try some crazy, not-so-traditional poses with me. Without even blinking an eye, she said she was willing to try anything daring. So we dared to take some very spirited bridal poses-just for fun!
I have to also say this about Jordan. She was really the least fussy bride I have had the privilege of working with to date. Mind you, I’ve never worked for a bridezilla, knock on wood. But absolutely nothing got under Jordan’s skin! She was the essence of bridechilla! If anything bothered her, I had NO CLUE—not even an inkling! She was calm, cool and chillax!
And I super enjoyed having dinner with her and her mom after the session! We talked for hours. I always enjoy talking to Cindy, Jordan’s mom. It was a nice ending to a perfect day.
