With the official premier of my wedding promo/show reel happening tomorrow (exciting!), I’d like to introduce you to the rest of the lovely team that helped make the whole thing possible!! As I stated in Part 1, I was fortunate enough to cross paths with Dayna De Hoyos of Stella Haus Films. She was the genius behind everything you will see tomorrow when I premier my wedding show reel, and again in August when I premier my senior show reel. She hand-selected everyone who contributed to this project and basically held my hand every step of the way. I pretty much relinquished all control to her and she did a fabulous job.
In addition to the models, my team consisted of Rocio, Leighton, Mari and Dayna. Rocio Bodevin went to fashion design school at the University at the Incarnate Word. Since graduating, she continues to practice fashion design and scene design for artistic projects and films. Rocio helped with selecting the sets and wardrobe and accessories.
Although Ryan Leighton Whittington has been practicing hair and makeup design for well over a decade, he only does this for friends who deserve special favors (like Dayna). He took care of everyone’s hair and makeup. His principle business is owning Tempo Hair Design (210-843-7586) AND a clothing line called Leighton Couture. His work has appeared in countless magazines an online publications. He is taking the San Antonio fashion world by the horns.
Mari Leon, of Destiny Bridal, loaned the wedding dresses to feature in the shoot. Mari now has two locations, one at 12651 Vance Jackson Road, Suite #101 and one at 7529 N. Loop 1604 E., Suite #114 in Live Oak. Destiny Bridal is a full-service bridal boutique that offers all the latest trends and largest selections of designer wedding gowns, bridesmaids and flower girl dresses from designers like Maggie Sottero, Sottero & Midgley, Mori Lee, Essense of Australia and Justin Alexander just to name a few. Mari prides her business in offering exceptional customer service and making brides’ dreams come true.
And finally, Dayna De Hoyos is a filmmaker raised in San Antonio, Texas who owns Stella Haus Films and is the lead videographer on all projects. Dayna specializes in artist showreels, wedding films and short nature films. Dayna started her filmmaking journey at the age of 18 when she got a job at a camera store for the sole purpose of buying a video camera. Since then Dayna has made art films and pursued her dream of a full-time commercial filmmaker since late-2011.
It was an absolute pleasure working with these fine people and business owners. Until next time, be positive, happy, healthy, and don’t forget to be photographed.

I am a professional wedding and senior photographer based in South Texas near San Antonio. I pride my business in offering a premier and personal service coupled with an unforgettable photography experience. I cater to clients who appreciate quality photography and help them to create family heirlooms that will last for generations. As a full-time professional photographer, my sole purpose is to provide amazing, memorable and full-service photography.
I started Ata-Girl Photography Co., LLC in 2010. I firmly believe that the unique set of circumstances I have faced in life has prepared me to take a personal and genuine interest in my photography clients. I enjoy documenting the important milestones and captivating moments in people’s lives. I love being a part of people’s journey and consider myself privileged to document their legacies.
When I’m not photographing a wedding, family or high school senior, I love to spend my spare time hiking, cycling, reading, listening to Elvis and Prince. The most important things in life are for me to see my two daughters happy and to create a family history my grandparents would be proud of!
