After Ashley finished her professional hair and makeup appointment, she met with me for her glamour senior session. It was a brutal session with the temperature at about 40° and winds of up to 17 m.p.h. Ashley was an absolute trooper braving the winds and the freezing temps. You’d never tell how uncomfortable the shoot really was just by looking at her images. She rocked this session! Thankfully, we were able to shoot most of the session indoors. That really saved our lives! Brrr.
Every time we would set up for a pose, I’d comment how much this was reminded me of an old Hollywood shoot. The giant leather backs on the built-in sofas, the iron-worked staircases, the rich wood and the marble floors all reminded of an old classic movie. We did have to work around the hotel’s Christmas decorations, but they were super accommodating and even lit the outside fireplaces for us to try and stay warm.
Ashley will be a 2015 graduate from Jourdanton High School who will undoubtedly be playing college volleyball come this fall. I’ve had the privilege of watching her play since she was a freshman, and it has been a joy. I’m grateful that I’m the senior portrait photographer that Ashley chose to document her senior year.

I am a professional wedding and senior photographer based in South Texas near San Antonio. I pride my business in offering a premier and personal service coupled with an unforgettable photography experience. I cater to clients who appreciate quality photography and help them to create family heirlooms that will last for generations. As a full-time professional photographer, my sole purpose is to provide amazing, memorable and full-service photography.
I started Ata-Girl Photography Co., LLC in 2010. I firmly believe that the unique set of circumstances I have faced in life has prepared me to take a personal and genuine interest in my photography clients. I enjoy documenting the important milestones and captivating moments in people’s lives. I love being a part of people’s journey and consider myself privileged to document their legacies.
When I’m not photographing a wedding, family or high school senior, I love to spend my spare time hiking, cycling, reading, listening to Elvis and Prince. The most important things in life are for me to see my two daughters happy and to create a family history my grandparents would be proud of!
