I’m so excited to finally blog my first senior from the class of 2016! Not only because it’s my first senior from the class of 2016 BUT because it’s also my niece… one of my very favorite nieces. I only have three so they can ALL be my favorite nieces!

Karley’s San Antonio senior session was flawless! It was exactly the way I envisioned it in my head during the planning process. It was beautiful, modern and classy—just like Karley!

I’m so thankful that my sister and I are so close. It hasn’t always been this way and, early on, we probably had a really good chance to not be friends at all. There were some ugly times, some VERY ugly times… like when she stabbed me in the arm with needle-nosed pliers, or let all the air out of my car tires, or threw bricks and hammers at me… or refused to be hazed when she was a high school freshman. [Please don’t ask her about anything I may have done to her.] I am grateful for whatever pulled us together and strengthened our bond.

The bond with my sister has also cemented a very special place deep in my heart for my niece, Karley. I love her almost exactly as much as I love my own two daughters. (Yes, Kyanna almost exactly as much but NOT EXACTLY AS MUCH!) There are times when the mere sight of her will bring a tear to my eye… and it isn’t because she stinks, it’s because I love her that much! I can’t imagine my life without my favorite nieces—even the one who eats her boogers! (I’ll let you guess which one that is.)

Here are a few of my favorite images from Karley’s San Antonio senior session.
