I had the pleasure of attending the open house for Brady’s Bloomin Barn in Rio Medina about six miles from Castroville. This is an extremely unique San Antonio wedding venue. Capable of accommodating 700+ guests, Brady’s Bloomin Barn has amenities you won’t find in other venues. This place has more country charm than you can shake a stick at.
This San Antonio wedding venue offers both indoor and outdoor party options. The main building is 7,200 square feet and includes a large custom kitchen, dining room, foyer and a bar. The rustic barn is made of naturally-aged wood with a stained concrete floor. The lighting centerpiece is a beautiful, custom-illuminated, vintage wagon wheel chandelier. The barn can be used for either a seated dinner or dancing the night away. It’s located adjacent to the chandeliered courtyard with broad doors that can be opened to create a seamless reception area. There’s also 11,000 square feet of outdoor entertainment area. You haven’t lived until you’ve witnessed the sun setting over this Medina River Valley backdrop.
I can’t not mention the bridal house. It is one of Rio Medina’s most historic buildings. This 1905 home is beautifully-renovated with a very eclectic and quaint feeling. This is the perfect piece of privacy for a bridal party to spend all day getting ready for a magical ceremony. The home has a full kitchen and bathroom, living room and changing room.
Brides have countless options for wedding themes and colors. The natural country setting provides lush gardens, peaceful waterfalls, crystal chandeliers, covered porches and a roomy courtyard. There are many family relics incorporated into the intimate design of Brady’s Bloomin Barn and you can find them scattered throughout the property. There’s antique ice trays and pots, tin from the Krueger Dairy, and antique furniture like a pie safe, piano, and bed.
What’s most unique about Brady’s Bloomin Barn is that this is not ONLY a venue. Brady’s is also a full service nursery, a full service bar, they offer gardening classes, cooking classes and beer and wine classes. They host washer tournaments and the sell farm fresh eggs! If you’re looking for a venue with limitless shabby chic options, this is YOUR place!
Here’s a few of my favorite images from the open house.
