A week or so ago, I ventured to beautiful San Marcos to capture a South Texas family photo session with two stunning little girls. They were so full of life that I could barely keep up with them. Less than halfway through the session, I had already broke a sweat. For a little over an hour, I was traipsing all around following Mazy, Addie and their dog, Rosie.
Even though the twins are fraternal and have visible differences, I could not get their names straight to save my life. I kept wanting to call them Macy, Azy, Maddie, Adeline… everything but their real names. I even made a point to write their names on the palm of my hand hoping that would help, but it didn’t. Mom suggested that I try calling them 1 and 2. That didn’t work. I tried A and B. Fail. For a second, they were Blondie and Brunette, but that method didn’t last long either. I’m pretty sure that I impressed neither with my memory skills. At one point one of them, and I’m not sure which, asked me, “Is this even necessary?” True story.
Even without being able to call them by their real name throughout the entire session, I hope they enjoyed my company. We captured a neat little time in their life and they will always have the images to prove it!
Before I close, I’d like to send a special little shout-out to their dad who has served 27 years in the U.S. military. He wasn’t able to participate in the South Texas family photo session because he was on a short deployment. Thank you, Jeff, for serving for all these years. What a sacrifice!! Thank you!
Be photographed!
