More than a few months ago, two fellow photographers and I scheduled a stylized photo shoot—a San Antonio Botanical Gardens Bridal Session. One of the photographers, Kim Bourquin, scored a beautiful vintage wedding dress, Ashley Zufelt agreed to find our gorgeous model, and I offered to get the bridal bouquets. Graciously, Catie, from the Virginia Twins Garden Market in Pleasanton, Texas, put together two fabulous bouquets for us to use during the San Antonio Botanical Gardens Bridal Session. This was indeed a collaborative effort. I am embarrassed that it has taken me this long to add this to my blog, but that must give some perspective into how wildly crazy it has been at Ata-Girl Photography.

I want to add that any time you get the opportunity to network with other creatives, do not pass it up. Over the years, it is other professional creatives that have provided the invaluable knowledge, feedback and fuel that has kept my passion sustained for all these years. Those are the people who have taught me the most about this industry and who I can always turn to for guidance. I am grateful for the other wedding professional creatives who are willing to share and work together and make this line of work an enjoyable one! Thank you, Kim, Ashley and Catie!! <3

Until next time, be positive, happy, healthy, and don’t forget to be photographed.

As a full-time professional photographer, my sole purpose is to provide amazing, memorable and full-service photography.

I started Ata-Girl Photography Co., LLC in 2010. I firmly believe that the unique set of circumstances I have faced in life has prepared me to take a personal and genuine interest in my photography clients. I enjoy documenting the important milestones and captivating moments in people’s lives. I love being a part of people’s journey and consider myself privileged to document their legacies.

When I’m not photographing a wedding, family or high school senior, I love to spend my spare time hiking, cycling, reading, listening to Elvis and Prince. The most important things in life are for me to see my two daughters happy and to create a family history my grandparents would be proud of!
