The fifth theme for the 365-day photo challenge was people. This was a bit of a challenge to complete. Even though you encounter people all day long, it’s not easy to just walk up and photograph them. When I would try to be a stealthy photographer, I would either get a really bad shot, or my daughter would get mad at me for trying to capture these images without permission. She thought it was rude and I guess she’s right, but I had a challenge to complete. For the most part, the subjects for this theme are not even people at all, but rather inanimate objects made to resemble people. It’s really a shame that I didn’t have engagement sessions and weddings booked for the entire length of this theme.
Here are the pictures I took during the fifth theme.
Things I learned:
- It’s difficult to photograph complete strangers.
- Shooting from a moving vehicle is hard.
- There are symbols of people all around.
- I’ve begun to plan ahead and have selected buildings, and patriotic things.
Five themes are now complete, and only 19 to go! I’m now begging. If you are taking part, please be sure to post the pics on my Facebook wall and let me know. I miss seeing everyone’s photographs. Thanks for your time and thank you if you’re participating.

I started Ata-Girl Photography Co. in 2010 and I am one of the premier San Antonio wedding photographers who is available for local and destination weddings. In addition to wedding photography, I also specialize in high school seniors and family portraits in San Antonio and the surrounding areas. I am a professional photographer who enjoys documenting the important milestones and captivating moments in people’s lives. I firmly believe that the unique set of circumstances I have faced in life has prepared me to take a personal and genuine interest in my photography clients. When I’m not photographing a wedding, family or high school senior, I enjoy watching my daughter play softball, hiking, cycling and listening to Elvis!
