You can say that I had to opportunity to photograph Eric’s country senior portraits all because of bus #8. Way back in the day, I rode bus 8 with all the other Christine Crickets. We’d travel back and forth… 10+ miles one way to get to school each day. The Crickets spent a lot of time together on bus 8. Those long, hot, bumpy days are probably responsible for some of the most meaningful friendships I have to this day. These friendships and memories date back to the 1970’s. I can’t go into a lot of detail about the things that happened on bus 8, but I can tell you that there were fires, road-side paddlings, fist fights, and opportunities to learn to speak Spanish (mostly slang and things you wouldn’t say in front of your mother).

Eric is the son of Lanny (my bus partner) and Mandy. He has a step-brother and three younger sisters which include twins. Eric will graduate in the Top 10 of his class—7th to be exact. He is a member of the National Honor Society and will graduate with honors. He participated in basketball, track and FFA. After graduation, Eric will be going to College Station where he will attend Texas A&M and start working on a Petroleum Engineering Degree. He also has very loose plans to help me design a device to assist older people (like myself) to bend at the knees without any pain. We plan to become billionaires together!

Country Senior Session

Here is a short video with all of Eric’s images from his session.

Until next time, be positive, happy, healthy, and don’t forget to be photographed.

I pride my business in offering a premier and personal service coupled with an unforgettable photography experience. I cater to clients who appreciate quality photography and help them to create family heirlooms that will last for generations. As a full-time professional photographer, my sole purpose is to provide amazing, memorable and full-service photography.

I started Ata-Girl Photography Co., LLC in 2010. I firmly believe that the unique set of circumstances I have faced in life has prepared me to take a personal and genuine interest in my photography clients. I enjoy documenting the important milestones and captivating moments in people’s lives. I love being a part of people’s journey and consider myself privileged to document their legacies.

When I’m not photographing a wedding, family or high school senior, I love to spend my spare time hiking, cycling, reading, listening to Elvis and Prince. The most important things in life are for me to see my two daughters happy and to create a family history my grandparents would be proud of!
